Terms of Agreement for SellYourCraft.art Pioneer Artists
Please read these Terms of Agreement carefully before participating in the SellYourCraft.art Pioneer Artist program. By signing up, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Program Participation & Selection
- Submission Deadline: Submissions will be accepted up to 11:59 PM EST on June 27, 2025.
- Artist Notification: Artists selected as Pioneer Artists and alternatives will be notified via email by 11:59 PM EST on June 30, 2025, from the address
shenole.latimer@sellyourcraft.art
. - Selection Numbers: There will be 6 Pioneer Artists selected and at least 4 alternatives selected. The total number of alternatives will be decided based on the total number of artist sign-ups and the variety of arts and crafts disciplines represented.
2. Data Privacy
- Information Usage: Your artist name, email, and answers to the questions on the sign-up form are held solely for the purposes of relaying information pertaining to SellYourCraft.art.
- No Information Sharing: No information you provide will ever be sold or shared with third parties.
3. Promotional Rights & Agreement Duration
- Pioneer Artist Consent: Pioneer Artists must agree to allow their name, likeness, website, and images of their work to be shared as needed by SellYourCraft for promotional purposes.
- Agreement Validity: This promotional agreement will be valid for 1 year (365 days) from the announcement of the artist’s selection as a Pioneer Artist.
- Alternate Artists: If an alternate artist is put in place of a Pioneer Artist, they must also agree to all terms set forth and will continue the 1-year agreement from the point in time of the Pioneer Artist they are replacing.
4. Website Content & Development
- Required Materials: If selected, a Pioneer Artist will need to supply SellYourCraft with high-quality photos of:
- Their work, including up to 8 items they would like to sell.
- Photos of themselves depicting either the act of creating their work, or providing instructional directions/lessons pertaining to their particular discipline of art.
- Any other images that both the artist and SellYourCraft deem relevant for the construction of the Pioneer Artist’s website.
- Additional Content: The Pioneer Artist must also supply any pricing information, descriptions for the items they wish to sell, and any copy they wish to include for the written content of the website.
- Website Structure: SellYourCraft will build a fully functional, e-commerce website for the Pioneer Artist that includes:
- Homepage
- Online store with a shopping cart (capable of displaying unlimited merchandise; SellYourCraft will set up the first 8 items)
- Up to 2 service pages (optional)
- About page (optional)
- Events page (optional)
- Blog (optional)
- Contact page (optional)
- Customization Limitations: SellYourCraft cannot accommodate building a custom website or executing a custom design. Websites will be built from pre-built templates that SellYourCraft has already tested for functionality and user-friendliness.
- Blog & Events Setup: SellYourCraft will set up 2 blog articles and 2 events if the Pioneer Artist chooses to utilize these features. The Pioneer Artist must supply the content (blog articles and event information).
5. Website Hosting & Domain Name
- No Charges: SellYourCraft will not charge the Pioneer Artists or alternates for any aspect of the website, including website development, e-commerce setup, purchase of a domain name (if needed), and website hosting.
- Exclusive Hosting (1 Year): Pioneer Artists must have their website hosted solely by SellYourCraft during the 1-year (365 days) of their agreement.
- Post-Agreement Hosting Options: At the end of the 1-year agreement, the Pioneer Artist can opt to either:
- Stay with SellYourCraft services for the regular $29.99 per month.
- Migrate their website to a WordPress-compatible hosting platform.
- Migration Responsibilities: Once taken off of SellYourCraft servers, the Pioneer Artist will be solely responsible for the well-being of their website, including:
- Backing up their website
- Setting up and maintaining the website’s SSL certificate
- Maintaining all plugins
- Setting up their website on the new hosting platform
- Maintaining the WordPress software
- Handling any technical support needed
- Domain Name Registration: SellYourCraft will pay for the initial 1-year registration fee for the Pioneer Artist’s website and set up and maintain the selected domain name (if they do not already have one).
- Post-Agreement Domain Options: After the 1-year (365 day) Pioneer Artist agreement, the Pioneer Artist must either:
- Accept transference of the domain name, its yearly registration fee, and maintenance.
- Subscribe to SellYourCraft’s domain registration and maintenance service for $24.99 per year.
- Domain Transfer on Migration: If the Pioneer Artist decides to migrate their website off of the SellYourCraft hosting platform, SellYourCraft will transfer control of the domain name to the Pioneer Artist so they can take over the actions needed for maintaining the yearly registration of their domain name.
6. E-commerce & Payments
- Payment Processor: The e-commerce shops included in the Pioneer Artist’s website are designed and set up to use Stripe as a payment processor.
- Stripe Fees: Stripe charges a transaction fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per successful transaction for domestic cards.
- No SellYourCraft Commission: No part of the transaction fee goes to SellYourCraft, nor does SellYourCraft take any commission off of sales. All income the Pioneer Artist generates, excluding the transaction fee that Stripe charges, is theirs.
7. Training & Support
- Instructional Resources: SellYourCraft will provide both live webinars and tutorial videos that will instruct the Pioneer Artist on how to:
- Add or remove items from their store
- Add blog articles
- Add events
- Perform light customizations to their website
