Who's Behind SellYourCraft

Hi, I’m Shenole Latimer, and my life has been filled with music, art, and a passion for helping other artists. For nearly 25 years, I was a professional musician, playing saxophone with my own jazz quartet. We traveled up and down the East Coast, performing concerts and sharing our love of jazz.
I also started doing educational programs, bringing jazz to schools, libraries, and other places all over the country. It was a great way to introduce kids and families to this amazing style of music.
In 2013, I became the education director for East End Arts in Riverhead, New York. This was a chance to work with hundreds of visual artists. I helped them learn how to make a living from their art. I developed programs to support them and give them the tools they needed to succeed. It was inspiring to see their creativity and passion.
My life took an unexpected turn in 2022. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, which affected my ability to walk and use my hands. This meant I had to retire from playing music professionally. But I didn’t let it stop me. I transitioned into the world of technology, learning web development.
Now, I use my web development skills, along with my marketing experience and my deep understanding of the art world, to help artists of all kinds. I’m dedicated to supporting them and helping them thrive. I believe that everyone deserves the chance to share their talents with the world.
